Based on the best-selling chicklit novel series by Sophie Kinsella, this is the story about a girl named Rebecca Bloomwood who is addicted to shopping. She cannot get enough of the entire experience; from the being treated like a princess, to the joy of owning a new $300 designer scarf. Rebecca’s love of shopping ends up taking her to places she never dreamed of. But her dreamworld starts to come crashing down around her when her excessive spending habits come haunting her in the form of bills and debt. She finds herself having to face reality and re-evaluate her life as her debts start to affect her various relationships.
